Anyway as other unexamined models may fit the information also or better, an acknowledged model is just a not-disconfirmed model. 2. Elective models approach: One may test at least two causal models to figure out which has the best fit. There are numerous decency of-fit measures, reflecting various contemplations, and generally three or four are accounted for by the specialist. Albeit alluring on a basic level, this AM approach runs into this present reality issue that in most explicit research point territories, the scientist doesn't discover in the writing two all around created elective models to test. 3. Model advancement approach: by and by, much SEM look into consolidates corroborative and exploratory purposes: a model is tried utilizing SEM methodology, saw as insufficient, and an elective model is then tried dependent on changes recommended by SEM alteration files. Optimal Taxation And Human Capital Policies -Myassignmenthelp.Com
Question: Examine About The Optimal Taxation And Human Capital Policies? Answer: Introducation The current case manages an organization that is doing the matter of offering building supplies at a limited cost to house and land engineers by the name Carter Pty. Ltd. The organization has been doing likewise business since its beginning in 2012. In the year 2016 the organization with the aim of building a skyscraper improvement bought 3 neighboring squares of land worth $300000 each. However, against the plans of the organization the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal wouldn't concede the consent for the arrangement as it believed the task to be an impediment to the neighbors calm pleasure in their homes. In the wake of talking with its legal counselor the organization employed a creator to construct the homes in an exceptional and network fitting way. After the development all the three homes were sold for $1 million each[1]. The issue that are introduced by this case is that whether the benefit on special of homes can be considered as a common pay or not. This issue ha s emerged because of the way that the organization has wandered in some kind of pay which isn't the essential income creating activity as the organization has never purchased any real estate parcel neither occupied with the tasks of development of structures. Administering: The decision in regards to the normal salary of the business is set down in segment 6-5(1) ITAA 97. According to the arrangement of the demonstration, it is a salary as indicated by conventional ideas. General rule is that these sorts of pay are of such nature that everybody will believe them to be income[2]. So as to determine the idea of salary in the current case an endeavor is made to investigate the positive just as negative markers and afterward search for them in regard of the current circumstance or case. The negative markers or recommendations of salary (the things which don't go under the domain of pay according to standard ideas): Sum that are not convertible as far as cash are not viewed as customary salary. The recommendation implies that the sum got as thought must be in financial terms or can be changed over in money[3]. The salary which is of the idea of capital receipts doesn't shape some portion of the normal pay. All the blessings which are gotten outside the ambit of work, administrations or business don't go under customary pay. All the returns of lottery, betting or godsend picks up fall outside the domain of standard salary. All the receipts in type of common receipts are not conventional pay.. Positive markers of pay: The salary must have highlights like repeat, consistency and periodicity. So as to be considered as a salary the sum probably earned advantageously. The salary consistently should be decided by its character in the hands of the recipient[4]. The sum that has been determined during business or by arrangement of administration is considered as conventional pay. The sums got from property are conventional salary The sum got over the span of completing a business is a salary. The sums got as pay for some pay inescapable are viewed as pay themselves. Notwithstanding making a decision about the idea of the receipts, an examination should likewise be made whether the exercises embraced by the organization can be considered as a business or not. The significant highlights which comprise a business are as per the following: Benefit intention: The essential goal of doing any endeavor or movement is to get some positive outcome out of it[5]. If there should be an occurrence of a business the principle goal ought to be to acquire benefits. Simply the nearness of expectation is lacking. (FCT v Beach P/L 1982) On the off chance that there are different markers present, at that point basically because of the constrained size of their exercises the citizens wont be blocked from being delegated a business. (Thomas v FCT 1972) Secluded exercises with the end goal of benefit making may likewise establish a business.(FCT v St. Hubert Island P/L 1978) Application: So as to introduce a solid and precise clarification in regard of the duty ramifications of the benefit on special of three properties for Carter Pty. Ltd. The investigation is directed by isolating it into four sections an) issues overseeing the case b) decisions that are material for the situation c) use of the principles in regard of the case d) finish of the case. Right off the bat, in the issues divide a conversation has been made so as to build up the different issues that the current case is introducing. This incorporates the categorisation of the advantages sold the treatment of pay that is gotten and so on. Furthermore, the decision that must be utilized or given out by the resolution will be talked about. From that point the utilization of the pertinent guidelines with regards to the case or issues introduced will be set down lastly an end will be drawn of the bass of the use of the significant principles. In compatibility of applying the significant guidelines in regard of the given case the negative and positive pointers of the pay will be coordinated with the realities of the present case and it will determined whether the circumstance is satisfying the models or not. The sum is gotten in real money henceforth it is in financial terms The sum isn't gotten a blessing thus the topic of employability doesnt emerge The sum has not been gotten as a bonus addition or betting. The sum isn't in the idea of shared receipts. Consequently, the sum isn't falling inside the negative recommendations. That implies on the off chance that it can satisfy any positive pointer or suggestion, it will be viewed as a common pay. The sum got that has been gotten as benefit at a bargain of homes doesnt have the quality of repeat, normality or periodicity as the organization has not occupied with the acquisition of land and development of business preceding this. The sum likewise neither emerged out of arrangement of administration or business nor from property or as a pay for previous any profit[8]. However, so as to build up whether the sum emerged bankrupt or not we have to figure whether the exercises led by the organization comprise a business or not[9]. The exercises did by the organization are not standard or tedious but rather simultaneously the organization conducted the exercises to win benefit and furthermore according to the principles a separated movement with the aim of benefit can establish a business. From the exercises of the organization plainly the organization was not in the matter of acquirement of land and development of working to sell them at a benefit since it was explicitly referenced that it is the first run through the organization has occupied with such a movement. The organization additionally didn't have the necessary framework and association to do such activity normally and proficiently. It is apparent from the way that on the main event it couldn't get a confirmation for the development of the structures. This demonstrates the movement of buying area and development of building is a disengaged action of the organization. Be that as it may, a due thought must be given to the way that the sole motivation behind the organization was to win benefit consequently; the detached movement will likewise comprise a business. As the action of the organization has end up being a business the benefit at a bargain of the homes will be considered as a pay which has produced from the lead of the business. In this manner, the acquisition of 3 squares of nearby grounds and development of homes to sell them at a benefit will be considered as a business and the benefit that the organization earned from the offer of the structures will establish pay from business. Since, pay earned from lead of business comes surprisingly close to common pay as set down in segment 6-5(1) the benefit earned by the organization will be treated as anIssue: The proprietor of the Carter Pty Ltd. bought 3 nearby squares for $300,000 each on July 2016 so as to construct a tall building advancement. In any case, in 2016 December, VCAT wouldn't give the important authorization for arranging. Therefore, these properties were sold via Carter in the wake of building 3 special network fitting homes at $1million for each property[10]. Presently the essential target of this report is to confirm that whether this previously mentioned benefit will be considered as available for Carter or not. Besides, it was seen from the contextual investigation that the Lawyer, Joe Dodgy exhorted them that this benefit won't be dependent upon any duty. At the point when any advantage of capital nature offers the proprietor with a more significant expense than what was utilized to get or buy the benefit is called capital addition. In the event of any capital addition, the proprietor of such benefit is liable to pay charge dependent on the measure of benefits. In any case, there are not many exceptions in capital addition as well[11]. The expense payable on any benefits or increases acknowledged from properties, which isn't identified with any business, is known as Capital Gain Tax or CGT. At the end of the day, it very well may be said that the essential goal of CGT is to charge from each one of those benefits an

The Nobel Prize By the Numbers
The Nobel Prize By the Numbers (This post has been updated to reflect the 2017 award.) Established in 1901, the Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to over 100 individuals. Its enough of a sample set to tell you something about what they look for. And since the Prize is chosen by the Swedish Academy, a body of 18 members who have seats for life, its safe to say that change happens slowly so you can find long-term trends. There are some that have little to do with numbers. Novelists and poets dominate, though there are playwrights, journalists, historians, and essayists scattered amongst them. Writers with a political bent are common. But if you tried to play the odds this year and were rooting for Murakami or Roth, the numbers could have predicted youd be disappointed. Current average age of the Swedish Academy: 72 Nobel Prizes for Literature Awarded: 114 We talk about the Nobel Prize as if its an global award, but the Academy is made up of Europeans and its focus certainly seems to be on European writers. Nobel Literature Laureates From Europe: 82 (72%) The first 50 years of the prize are almost exclusively European, but any efforts to be a worldwide prize arent terribly effective. Nobel Literature Laureates from Europe in the Last 20 Years: 12 (60%) If you look at the population of the world, the most populous countries are China, India, and the United States. It was pretty much the same 100 years ago. And yet nearly 100 years past without a Chinese winner. Chinese Nobel Literature Laureates: 2 (Awarded in 2000 and 2012.) India is even worse. Its been over a century since India won a Nobel Literature Prize. Indian Nobel Literature Laureates: 1 (Awarded in 1913.) America is doing better. And yet American Nobel Literature Laureates: 10 French Nobel Literature Laureates: 14 (Last awarded in 2014.) Swedish Nobel Literature Laureates: 7 (Last awarded in 2011.) Swedish Nobel Literature Laureates Who Were Also Members of the Swedish Academy Who Voted On Their Own Awards: 2 Thats only nationality, not even considering race and ethnicity. African Nobel Literature Laureates: 4 For an entire continent, its terribly underrepresented. But its worse when you look at race. White African Nobel Literature Laureates: 2 Black African Nobel Literature Laureates: 1 Arab African Nobel Literature Laureates: 1 (Also the only Arab period.) Of North Americas Literature Laureates, all 7 winners up until 1962 were White. There has been some positive change, though. From 1967 to the present, of the 9 North American Laureates only 4 are White. 2 are Black, 2 are Latino, and 1 is Asian. (It can get fuzzy here, Ive chosen to count V. S. Naipaul as being from Trinidad, though many count him as British.) South American Nobel Literature Laureates: 4 (3.5%) While South America has about half the population of Europe, Europe has over 20 times more Nobel Literature Laureates than South America. Then theres the gender issue. Male Nobel Literature Laureates: 100 (87.7%) The first woman to win a Nobel Prize for Literature did so in 1909, within the first decade it was awarded. After that it took 17 years for another woman to win in 1926. Even worse, between 1946 and 1990 (a period of over 40 years) only one woman won a Nobel Prize for Literature; Nelly Sachs, a German poet, won in 1966. And shared the award that year with a man. In the last 20 years theres been positive change, but not positive enough. Only 5 of the Nobel winners in the last 2 decades have been women, thats only 25%. None of this is to say that Nobel Laureates for Literature individually dont deserve their prizes. There are many impressive and important writers around the world, and Nobel winners are talented and lauded. But the heavily white and European focus for the Nobel Prize for Literature says this isnt really a modern prize. This is a prize thats still living in the past, where the Canon is made up mostly of White European Male writers. 64% of prizewinners from over a century of prizes fall into that category. If thats the prize the Nobel wants to be, then we can let it do that. But we need to stop looking to the Nobel as a truly global and diverse prize. Chronic Illness Essay - 3850 Words
Chronic Illness (Essay Sample) Content: CHRONICITYQUESTION 1Chronicity is a complex term to define. Many authors have attempted to provide a distinct definition of chronicity but still none has come up with a clear succinct definition. The Australian Commission on Chronic Illness defines a chronic illness as an alteration of the bodyà ¢Ã¢â ¬s anatomy and physiology resulting into a permanent and residual disability that would require a long period of care, observation and a possible rehabilitation (Lubkin Larsen 2013,p.3). A long-term disability is not necessarily about its nature and severity on the physical body of the patient but also its effects on the psychosocial well being of the patient (Suzanne 2014). The nature of the disease does not relate in any way to the perception of the patient about possible alteration of lifestyle, the level of disability and the socio-economic effects (Hickman, Rolley ÃâDavidson 2010,p.64). In broad terms, chronicity can be defined in two ways. It is a disability resulting from the disease condition itself, or effects of therapeutic interventions on the individual. From a nursing perspective, the illness approach rather than the disease approach is important especially in chronic illness management. By definition, disease is the alteration of the bodyà ¢Ã¢â ¬s functioning while an illness is the effect of the disease on the individual, the family and the care providers. Illness entails how the disease is perceived, managed and responded to by all the stakeholders (Purdy 2013,p.17). Most of the chronic illnesses are associated with depression (Lubkin Larsen 2013,p.4). A combination of the disease, the resultant depression and the resulting effects is a lethal combination the leads may to early graves (Lubkin Larsen 2013,p.3). Nursing provides a holistic care approach that is centered on the disease and its potential non related effects such as depression. Whereas nursing cannot cure the disease it can make a difference in the patient thr oughout the illness experience in a positive manner thus reducing the rates of morbidity and mortality (Hickman, Rolley ÃâDavidson 2010,p.64). Nursing care seeks to make a difference in the disease experience and not the disease process (Suzanne 2014).ReferencesHickman, D., Rolley, J. It was developed by the commonwealth, state and territories health departments and the approval was done by Health Ministers, through the Standing Counsel on Health. The framework was developed as a result of the increasing prevalence of the ageing population and concurrently an increased prevalence in chronic illnesses (National Primary Health Care Strategic Framework 2014,p.1). The framework aims at achieving equitable, safe, effective, sustainable and affordable health care services to all citizens of Australia. The frameworkà ¢Ã¢â ¬ objective is to improve the health care services to Australians paying particular emphasis on individuals with inequitable access to them. It seeks to keep all citizens of Australia healthy. It seeks to reduce the number of preventable illness and to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and presentations. On its objective on complex and chronic illnesses, the framework aims at improving their management. The Australian government sought this framework for the sole reason that evidence points to the fact that health systems with stronger primary health care are more efficient, have fewer health inequalities, reduced number of hospitalizations, and a lower mortality rate. It was adopted after a wide national consultation (National Primary Health Care Strategic Framework 2014,p.1).On chronic illnesses, the National Chronic Disease Strategy provides the framework for the management and care or complex and chronic illnesses. It covers diseases such as cancer, a sthma, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and osteoporosis. In the year 2005, other diseases were added onto the list and they include mental health, obesity, dental heath and injury prevention and control (Suzanne 2014). It identified the risk factors for the development of chronic illnesses and settled on a strategy to prevent them. It also categorized care for chronic illness into three levels. The policy identified four key action areas that entail prevention across a continuum, early detection and early treatment, integration and continuity of care and prevention, and self management. Its particular objectives on chronic illness, it seeks to prevent and possibly delay the onset of chronic illness for an individual or a group of individuals. It aims at providing maximum care for individuals with chronic illnesses and offer support to their families. It seeks to reduce the number of hospital admissions while improving the quality of life for individuals with chronic diseases. It aims at providing best practice care in the prevention, detection and care of chronic diseases. Finally, it aims at enhancing the capacity of the health care team to meet the population demand of chronic disease management in preparation for future challenges (Suzanne 2014).The Australian government initiatives are a welcome gesture. At least it lays down structures to deal with the increasing prevalence of chronic illness. However, there are challenges to the implementation of these initiatives. There is a concomitant increase in multi-morbidity in aged individuals with chronic illness. This creates a vicious cycle with more and more time spent on preventive measures (Aspin et al. 2010,p.386). The National Primary Health Care Strategic Framework capitalizes on this deficit and attempts to focus more on preventive strategies. That is good enough. The policy does not address co-morbidity. Most chronic illnesses have other co-morbid conditions re lated either directly or indirectly to the chronic condition. The policies focus on primary care of the main known chronic illnesses but fail to address the co-morbid conditions. The implementation of these policies requires heavy funding; however there has been a proposed Federal Budget Cut (Suzanne 2014). The challenge is: will they survive the cut? Or is there a need to review the policies? Implementation of the initiatives will require collaboration with other care agencies interested in the management of chronic diseases. Agencies such as New South Wales Chronic Care Network, ACI Networks would provide a more structured and collaborative approach that would see the effective implementation of the policies. In order to effect a widespread change, a national strategy aimed at primary care would suffice if they are more integrated, simpler to understand and are not burdensome administratively (Harris Zwar 2007,p.104)ReferencesAspin, C., Jowsey, T., Glasgow, N., Dugdale, P., Nolte , E., Oà ¢Ã¢â ¬Hallahan, J. 2010, à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"Health policy responses to rising rates of multi-morbid chronic illness in Australia and New Zealandà ¢Ã¢â ¬, Austarlian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health , vol. 34, pp.386-93.Harris, M., Zwar, N. 2007, à ¢Ã¢â ¬Care of patients with chronic disease:. Future directions for chronic illness management in the Australian contextà ¢Ã¢â ¬,UTS Lectures 2014, Lecture Notes, UTS, Sydney, viewed 12 September 2014,QUESTION 4The prime contact between the patient and primary health care was the General Practitioner. However, there is a new emerging role for the practice nurses in Australia in the care of patients with chronic illness. There is a mutual agreeme nt that care cannot be provided as it has always been done before. There is an increasing demand for health care services, an increased cost of health care, expanded service and a workforce shortage in Australia and other governments in the twenty first century. It would only be imperative that health systems offer strategic solutions to deal with the current challenges facing health service industry in the respective countries (Merrick et al.2012,p.133).This puts the Practice Nurses on the spotlight. The general practitioners are overworked and would need to be offloaded with the care demands. Primary care is the channel through which patients are guided through the health system and ensures an effective relationship between the patients and the clinicians. In Australia, the government is putting up strategies that will impact on the provision of primary care touch on the role of each healthcare provide...
